Petr Cech will NOT have the definitive say on incoming transfers at Chelsea in his new position, according to information shared by the Times.
Cech completed his return to Stamford Bridge earlier this week after four years at Arsenal, with his influence this time around being behind the scenes.
The club legend has vast experience and knowledge when it comes to football, which sees him well qualified for the role even so soon after his retirement.
Cech will undoubtedly have influence on decisions which will ultimately be Marina Granovskaia’s to make, but the Times don’t believe he’ll have anything like a final say.
If their report is to be believed, Marina is still top dog at Cobham and it’ll be staying that way, with Cech’s advisory position being just that – to advise.
The longer Cech stays at Chelsea and the more he proves his worth, the more trust he will earn. At that point he can expect to have a considerable say on club matters.
