Callum Hudson-Odoi is speeding ahead in his efforts to recover from his achilles rupture in time for the new Premier League season, according to the Daily Star.
Hudson-Odoi was forced to go under the knife after suffering a season-ending injury towards the end of the campaign, with Chelsea fans left fearing how long he’d be out of action.
Thankfully for us, and Callum himself, he looks to be making excellent progress. The Daily Star report that after consulting surgeon Ramon Cugat, who performed his surgery, he’s been given some good news.
Per the report, Hudson-Odoi has been given the go-ahead to step up the process of recovery, which could see him return to the field of play sooner than had initially been expected.
This is excellent news for all involved, with CHO no doubt desperate to get back on the Cobham training pitches and straight to work in hope of impressing new boss Frank Lampard.
