Chelsea have finalised Frank Lampard’s backroom staff ahead of tonight’s game against Bohemians, the new manager’s first in charge.
We already knew Frank Lampard was the boss, and that he would be bringing Jody Morris with him as an assistant.
Eddie Newton returns as an assistant coach – let’s not forget, the last time he performed that role we won the Champions League.
Alongside him is one of the most important new appointments – Joe Edwards who was until now the academy coach. He has been a huge influence on our dominant youth sides, and will hopefully help integrate those players into the first team now.
Ahead of our first pre-season game, meet Frank Lampard’s backroom staff who will be assisting him at Stamford Bridge this season!
Plenty of familiar faces… 😉

Next up is Henrique Hilario as the goalkeeping coach. He’s been assisting in the role for some time, and with the departure of Carlo Cudicini he will be the top man in that role.
Chris Jones, our long time fitness coach who was with Lampard at Derby, rounds out the senior team.
That’s a lot of familiar faces – let’s hope we’re successful and they form the basis of a new dynasty here!
