Fikayo Tomori will be loaned out this season, according to Simon Johnson of the Evening Standard, whose Tweets you can read below.
The Chelsea beat writer for the London paper reports that after a strong spell at Derby last season under Frank Lampard, the rising centre back will be given another chance to prove himself – however it won’t be back at Pride Park.
Am told #cfc will be looking to loan out #Tomori again next season. Won't go back to #dcfc though. Plan is to test him at next level. Has had offers from clubs in Premier League, Bundesliga and Portugal. A sale is very unlikely at this stage.

#cfc's four centre halfs are going to be #Luiz, #Rudiger, #Christensen and #Zouma so little chance for #Tomori to play and develop. Still rated by the club and #Lampard though and want to see him tested at the next level. https://t.co/iu5JjVwiF5

According to Johnson, the club are looking to test him at a higher level, and we’re really on board with that. Part of us was keen to see him stick around and feature as a sub for us this season, but the reality is this way he will play a lot more, and hopefully build on an unexpected breakout year.
His destination isn’t known yet, but there are Premier League and Bundesliga links both mentioned in the writer’s Tweet. As he says, a sale is unlikely, and that makes sense. Even if he doesn’t ever make it to first team level for us, his value is increasing exponentially the more he plays.
