One of three Chelsea players will have to depart this summer in order to comply with home grown regulations, according to a report published by Goal.
It’s a pain in the backside every summer, with Chelsea’s squad littered with talented players from all over the world. We are continually forced to part with some of them in order to be compliant.
Both the Premier League and the Champions League have their own respective regulations, with Chelsea to be competing in both competitions in the upcoming campaign, thanks to Maurizio Sarri.
Goal believe that there are three players who all run the risk of being cut from the squad, and they are Davide Zappacosta, Kenedy and Tiemoue Bakayoko, all of whom have been involved in pre-season.
Kenedy is perhaps most deserving of a chance out of the three, with either of Zappacosta or Bakayoko surely being allowed to depart if the price is right. This situation ought to become clearer in the coming weeks.
