Chelsea academy product Charly Musonda has re-signed with Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan, the Dutch club have confirmed on their official website.
Musonda was once considered one of the most promising young players we had on our books, but he’s now fallen behind many of his age group counterparts.
Last season was supposed to be an opportunity for the Belgian to show what he could do in the Eredivisie, but struggles with form and fitness pegged him back.
He’s now been granted a second bite at the cherry, with Vitesse confirming on Friday morning that the 22-year-old will spend the 2019/20 campaign with them.

There’s no doubting Charly’s talent, but he’s not always done himself justice when given opportunities. We dearly hope this time things work out differently for him.
If he’s able to stay fit, we’d fully back him to have a successful season in Vitesse. Whatever the future holds beyond that, who knows…
