Frank Lampard is back on the Stamford Bridge turf, but this time not as a player, as club manager!
Ever since he left in the summer of 2014, we’ve been eagerly awaiting the day that Lampard returned to Chelsea in some form.
We didn’t expect it to be as manager this prematurely, but we’re absolutely delighted that the move has come to fruition.
It hasn’t yet sunk in that Lampard is Chelsea boss, but it feels that little bit realer seeing him on the Stamford Bridge pitch.
The Chelsea twitter account posted the below video of Lampard revealing his delight to be back where he belongs.

This is going to take a while for us to get our head around, but for now we’re going to focus on celebrating what we’ve been hoping for all month.
The real question is – is it too early to crack open a beer?
Lampard is Chelsea manager, so absolutely not.
