We’re not here to spoil the party, but Frank Lampard has considerably less experience in management than all of his top six counterparts.
As shown by this graph, Arsenal’s Unai Emery is far out in the lead, with new Chelsea head coach Lampard right at the bottom after just a single season in the managerial game.

Some could see this as a negative, with Lampard’s inexperience hardly what we would usually deem as ideal considering the magnitude of the task at hand here.
However, we believe that this represents a change in approach from the Chelsea board, one that seeks compatibility rather than directionless appointments based on merit.
Lampard knows the club like the back of his hand and is more than willing to give younger players a chance. He fits like a glove into our vision of what we want Chelsea to become.
That cannot be said for someone like Emery, no matter how many games he’s managed. Lampard is the perfect fit, and even if it takes time, that will work in his benefit.
