Chelsea misfit set to rejoin former employers on loan with option to buy

Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is set to rejoin former employers AS Monaco on a season long loan, according to the reliable Mohamed Bouhafsi.

Sometimes transfers are just never going to work out for either party, with Bakayoko’s 2017 transfer to Stamford Bridge certainly comes into that category.

Chelsea now appear set to cut their losses and allow him to leave, at least on loan, with a view to a permanent return back to Monaco.

Mohamed Bouhafsi revealed this information on Twitter last night, claiming that the Frenchman will undergo a medical today and complete the move.

This is good news for both ourselves and Tiemoue. He’s heading back to where he made a name for himself, hopefully it will get him back to his best.

Monaco will then have the option to purchase him outright, helping Chelsea recoup at least a portion of the money we forked out on him two years ago.
