Chelsea midfielder keen to detach himself from former boss Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, who arrived at the club following the appointment of Maurizio Sarri, has revealed his keenness to distance himself from his former manager.

Jorginho was acquired after playing a key role in Sarri’s success at Napoli. The Italian was clearly hoping to replicate at Chelsea what he managed at the Stadio San Paolo, but failed to do so.

Sarri has since departed, but Jorginho remains. The midfielder has now revealed, following our Super Cup defeat to Liverpool, how he is hoping to detach himself from the now Juventus boss.

Jorginho was utterly brilliant against Liverpool last night. He leads by example in the midfield and certainly has the qualities required to captain this club in the future.

He appears completely committed to the cause at Chelsea, which is great to see, because his quality in possession is going to be of great us for us in the season ahead, and beyond.
