Goal journalist Nizaar Kinsella has provided some information on how much Chelsea have raised through player sales through the duration of the summer transfer window.
While Chelsea’s transfer ban has prohibited us from signing players, bar Mateo Kovacic, that doesn’t mean that Marina Granovskaia has been able to put her feet up this summer.
Marina has been hard at work securing the highest possible transfer fees for those who found themselves surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and she’s done a fine job.
As Nizaar Kinsella revealed on Twitter, the sale of David Luiz to Arsenal will take Chelsea’s total up to a whopping £131.8M – and we may still not be done there.
Chelsea's total raised from player sales will be £131.8m when David Luiz is sold to Arsenal. That's not including any loan fees for their 15 currently out and more to come today. #CFC

While the English transfer window closes early, teams around Europe are still able to place bids for the remainder of our unwanted stars. There could be more outgoings.
We’ll still be keeping a close eye on developments over the coming days, but even if nobody else were to bank us a penny, £131.8M is a seriously healthy number.
