Chelsea key man considered ‘biggest doubt’ for Manchester United contest

N’Golo Kante is currently considered the ‘biggest doubt’ for Chelsea ahead of their season opening clash with Manchester United at Old Trafford, according to a report published by Football London.

Kante was forced to leave the field during our win over Watford towards the end of last season. However, Maurizio Sarri rushed him back to play in the Europa League final against Arsenal.

The Frenchman played the full 90 minutes, and if not for the incomparable brilliance of Eden Hazard, would have been walking away with the man of the match award on the night.

However, as fit as he looked in Baku, Kante was playing through the pain. Just how unfit he was to feature against the Gunners has been shown by the fact he is yet to play a minute since the contest.

Football London report that he is now considered the ‘biggest doubt’ to be involved against Man United in our season’s curtain raiser. Kante is still not in full training with his teammates.

We hope to welcome him back soon, but respect that rushing him through the recovery process would only cause further issues later down the line. Whenever he’s ready, he’ll return.
