Christian Pulisic came close to making his first Chelsea start with a goal last night, before the officials adjudged him to be in an offside position when he received the ball.
Pulisic made his Chelsea debut against Manchester United at the weekend, but only as a substitute. His first appearance for the Blues from the beginning came last night in the Super Cup.
The USA international was excellent during his time on the field of play and was unfortunate not to have got his name on the scoresheet to make it 2-0 to Chelsea in the first-half.
Pulisic cut in and fired into the back of the net, Eden Hazard style, dare we say. Unfortunately, he had just failed to beat the offside trap and his strike was ruled out by the officials.
Pulisic inches offside… but this is what he is capable of. 🔥 #CFC #LIVCHE

If Pulisic continues to make these runs beyond the last defender and finish in this manner, he’s going to score plenty for Chelsea. His first goal will be just around the corner.
