Chelsea attacker bags brace at international level

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi scored two goals for Belgium last night as his side beat San Marino 4-0 away from home, as reported by the Chelsea Website.

The 25-year old scored at header in added time at the end of the match, and put away a penalty just before half time.

Belgium were without former Blue Eden Hazard, who is out injured, and they struggled to gain a stronghold on their lowly ranked opponents.

Two second half goals from Nacer Chadli and Dries Mertens helped Batshuayi’s team overcome a potential banana skin.

The former Marseille player will be pleased to have two more goals to add to his collection, but his performance on the night wasn’t really his best once again.

He will want to look to improve on that at club level as he continues to try and oust Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud for that number one striker spot at the club.
