Former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is back at Stamford Bridge ahead of the Blues clash with his fellow ex-employers Liverpool this afternoon.
Torres was arguably the best striker on the planet during his time as a Liverpool player, but departed Anfield with very little to show for it than an impressive scoring record.
The Spaniard wanted to win trophies to take his career to the next level, and even though his individual performances were not the best at Chelsea, he achieved what he came to do.
Now retired, Torres will have the opportunity to watch as many games of football as he likes, and it’s no surprise that he’s chosen today’s one as the perfect time to pay a visit.

He’ll no doubt have mixed emotions as the two sides take to the turf this afternoon. This may be the only instance in which a half-and-half scarf is actually justifiable.
