Chelsea fans can expect more improvements from returning starlet

Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned from a serious achilles injury and is just starting to find his feet back on the pitch.

Naturally after this much time out and such a big injury, things can take some time to tick again on the pitch. But the rate that Hudson-Odoi returned from injury, and judging by his last couple of international performances, Chelsea fans can really start to get excited.

The teenager is back, has signed a new long term deal with the club, and expects himself to improve even more over the coming weeks.

The way he took his two goals for England under-21s this week was just sublime. He looks hungry, dangerous and with a point to prove. I don’t envy the Premier League defenders in the coming weeks.

Hudson-Odoi has been speaking about the improvements he expects to make in his game, as reported by The Express.

He said:

“I definitely think I can improve.

“I am not a perfect player. No one is a perfect player, I think that every day when I go onto a pitch, I want to try my best, work hard and keep improving.

“I say to myself, keep going, keep working hard and hopefully more opportunities will come.

“I am delighted to get the goals. It is goals that I always try to get as well as assists – any contributions to the team.

“I am happy with the finishes and I will hopefully build on it and get many more.

“I have scored many solo runs, maybe not exactly like that, but I am delighted to get a goal like that.”
