Chelsea are preparing to face Newastle away from home this afternoon in the 3pm kick off, and Frank Lampard will be hoping to turn a four game winning streak in to five.
Newcastle are off the back of a confidence boosting victory over Manchester United and will have home advantage, but Lampard will feel that his team will have enough to come away with all three points today.
There are injuries as always for Chelsea with Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, N’Golo Kante, Emerson, and of course Ruben Loftus-Cheek sill injured.
But Lampard should have Mateo Kovacic available after picking up a knock on international duty last week. Reece James is also fit after a similar issue, he is likely to be a backup midfield option in the absence of Kante.
Chelsea under-23 captain Marc Guehi will make the bench due to the injuries to Christensen and Rudiger, whilst there will be no involvement for Billy Gilmour having played development football last night.
