Frank Lampard has had a lot of praise for playing young players, sorting out an attacking style of football quickly and restoring a good atmosphere to the dressing room and the stadium, but what he hasn’t really been complimented on yet is the idea that he’s actually chagning the whole direction of the club.
Rio Ferdinand picked up on that idea after the Lille game in midweek, saying that Lampard was in the process of “changing Chelsea’s identity” as he went. Now we’ve got another big win to add to that midweek game – what will Rio be saying now?
