Report: Chelsea up their asking price for Marcos Alonso

Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso is wanted by his former boss Antonio Conte at Inter, according to FCInterNews.

In fact, the publication go as far as claiming that Chelsea have been in negotiations with Inter over a loan to buy deal for Alonso.

They say now though that Chelsea have ‘made a wall’ on the deal by asking for 35 million euros, 10 more than they first stated, according to the report.

They believe that due to the friction between Chelsea and Conte with him claiming money from the club after leaving, this has now made Chelsea raise their price for the Spaniard.

Alonso returned to Frank Lampard’s starting line up last week and had a decent game against Tottenham, sparking some claims that he might still have a future at the club.

But he has very much been a bit part player this season under Lampard and you would feel that his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

A return to play for Conte looks quite likely still.
