Chelsea have been inactive so far during this transfer window when it comes to senior squad arrivals and outgoings.
The only deal that currently looks close is Olivier Giroud’s widely reported move to Inter, that is close.

Other than that, there has been a lot of rumours with potential players arriving at Stamford Bridge this month, but nothing solid seems to be in the pipeline yet.
However, this is Chelsea, and we know they have often not completed deals until nearer the end of the window, and according to former Journalist turned transfer podcast host Ian Mcgarry (Transfer Window Podcast), Frank Lampard wants to sign a striker as priority this window, and a centre back as second priority.

• Eriksen agrees terms with Inter; Tottenhan want €25m
• Can Gedson replace him?
• Conte’s demands

He claims that the centre back they want to sign is Brighton’s Lewis Dunk, who they have ‘asked for’.
McGarry says Lampard is looking for ‘someone who can command a defence which has looked inconsistent at best with regards to conceding goals, especially at set-pieces’.
But he believes that a new striker remains priority, with Chelsea linked to a host of potential targets.
Interestingly, he also said Lampard ‘has resisted the opportunity to dive into the market and just basically sign the first player who comes up’.
There are surely deals being worked on behind the scenes.
