Reports that Tammy Abraham has rejected Chelsea’s contract offer is nothing new

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has two years left remaining on his current contract at the club, and BOTH parties are looking to extend the deal.

Negotiations have been ongoing over the last six months and they have often hit a stalwart due to disagreements in terms. This is typically how negotiations go.

There is no rush for either party to get the deal done, with the same end solution being wanted by both.

But the media have pushed the narrative that Abraham has rejected Chelsea’s latest contract offer, in a story ran by The Daily Mirror.

Whilst this is not untrue, Chelsea-News understands that Abraham and Chelsea have not been in agreement over the terms since the start of negotiations. So this is in fact, nothing new.

Abraham has seen what Callum Hudson-Odoi now earns, and feels that he deserves similar. I am sure a solution will be found in the coming months but there is no rush.
