There is a rather bleak, end of days feel around the world at the moment. It’s probably not going to be as bad as we fear, but we can definitely all use some distraction from the words “global pandemic”.
What more natural human reaction to crisis than nostalgia? On this day in 2008, for example, Frank Lampard was at the peak of his powers, banging in 4 goals against a historically bad Derby team to become the first midfielder in Premier League history to score 4 in a game.
It’s very grainy, but that just adds to the nostalgia.
