Chelsea eyeing move for ‘one of the hottest properties outside the Premier League’

Chelsea have been linked with a number of centre backs over the last couple of months, and there is a new name in the frame.

Stoke City defender Nathan Collins is being eyed by Chelsea for a summer move, according to The Irish Sun.

They describe the 18-year old as ‘one of the hottest properties outside the Premier League’ and say that he also has interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Werder Bremen.

The Republic of Ireland under-21 international has made 9 appearances for Stoke in the Championship this season bringing his overall total to 12.

Chelsea are touted as being ‘the closest to making a move for him’ out of all potential suitors.

Collins towers at 6ft 5in tall and will still be growing.

It is thought that Frank Lampard wants to add a more dominant centre back who will command the box in the air as well as on the ground, so Collins certainly looks to have that stature already.
