Chelsea ‘a possibility’ for Juventus midfielder, Blues ‘could insert Jorginho into the operation’

When Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio talks, it is usually wise to listen.

However, his latest report regarding Chelsea seems a little far-fetched.

Di Marzio has thrown Chelsea’s names into the hat for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The 30-year old Bosnian international is largely touted to be joining Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain, but Chelsea are also a possibility.

The report even mentions that Chelsea could insert their own midfielder Jorginho, who is reportedly wanted by his former boss Maurizio Sarri, into the deal.

Jorginho played under Sarri at Napoli and at Chelsea, but he seems to be quite happy in London as it stands.

Pjanic is obviously a top quality and an experienced midfielder, but I cannot see him being a priority for Frank Lampard this summer with other positions in more need of improvement.

He is also well-stacked in the midfield positions, even if one did leave during the summer transfer window.
