Chelsea have just announced their team for today’s game against Crystal Palace, and once again Jorginho has been left out.
This time it’s Billy Gilmour getting a chance in place of the injured N’Golo Kante.
There seems to be an assumption that there’s “something personal” between Jorginho and Lampard for some time now, but it’s a ridiculous suggestion. The manager just doesn’t fancy him, and reckons he has a better option for the present and the future in Gilmour.
It’s not too hard to understand. We understand that some are saying they “feel for Jorginho”, but the rest is just nonsense.
You can see a selection of the reaction here:
The "Lampard must have a personal problem" with Jorginho stuff is just nonsense. The same people said it about Giroud and even Pulisic (!) earlier this season. It's baseless speculation when the reality is that FL has seen plenty of Jorginho and has decided he has better options.

Sure, Jorginho doesn't exactly fit the way Lampard wants. But the way he has been completely frozen out is cruel.

Feel for Jorginho.
Hopefully he finds the right club for him in the summer where he will get the credit he deserves for the player he is.

No more Rudiger, Zouma is our man.
Jorginho is also officially done out here which is a shame.
Giroud rightfully leading our attack, we move.

No Jorginho today despite injuries to Kante and Kovacic. Gilmour preferred. #CFC #CRYCHE

On Jorginho:
I like him, he’s been good for Chelsea on the pitch & as a leader. But it’s simple, he’s a victim of circumstance. Lampard is going in a direction formation wise, where Jorginho just doesn’t fit great. He’s not a true 6/DM.
It’s not personal. It’s a business.
