As we enter the final days of the transfer market, the one biggest final move that Chelsea were expected to make was trying to sign Declan Rice from West Ham.
We have not had any solid updates for the last few days, but the transfer guru has spoken.
Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on his ‘Here we go’ Podcast released today.
To begin with, he says that West Ham have said that Rice is not leaving this window, and there is no sign of a Chelsea offer yet.
That doesn’t mean to say that it won’t arrive anytime now and Chelsea could be encouraged by the fact that Rice wants to join them and is “trying to join Chelsea” in the words of Romano.

– Everton want to sign Tomori but Chelsea looking to offload Rudiger instead.
– Zouma exit 'impossible'.

With just 5 days remaining until the transfer window slams shut, Chelsea will have to work hard and fast if they are to get this one over the line.
