When the first pictures of Chelsea’s third kit for this season leaked, we clung onto the hope that they were fake.
Surely, surely this bizarre, vertical fading stripe, faded red and blue monstrosity was the work of some mad, attention-seeking internet troll?
As time has gone by though, we’ve lost confidence in that belief, and the fact that it’s now up on a Nike store somewhere is the final nail in the coffin of our hopeful conspiracy.
At least we can hope this is only wheeled out in a couple of games all season – but know Nike, they will want to show it off regularly in the Champions League.
