Chelsea have been beaten 2-0 by Leicester, and after the game Frank Lampard didn’t have much to say.
All he could do was say that he needed the “bare minimums” from his players ” – running and covering ground, for one thing.
He’s starting to sound like a manager who is out of ideas on how to turn things round. The plyers he tried tonight certainly didn’t perform, but Leicester looked a far slicker organisation than the Blues, and a lot of that comes down to coaching.
Blaming the players again won’t go down well.
You can see the manager speaking in the clip embedded here:
🗣 "The bare minimums are to run, to sprint, to cover ground and too many of our player didn't do it."
– Frank Lampard criticises his #Chelsea players for not doing the basics.

listen he is absolutely correct about the players — several of them were absolute shite : james. kia H, pulisic, hudson O etc — these people have lost their heart
they are too soft — and this problem, and the issue of no on-field leadership have been constants at chelsea for the last 4 years.
