Thomas Tuchel has a big squad at his disposal, and he likes to make changes. So it was a real shock to see Hakim Ziyech, who started on Sunday against Manchester United, in the team again today.
The creative midfielder had a bright start at Stamford Bridge, but has really faded badly since Christmas. His performance against Manchester United was a real stinker – and in fact he’s barely had a quality moment, let alone a whole game, under Tuchel.
That’s why it’s so surprising to see him tried out again today, and these Chelsea fans on social media made it very clear they weren’t happy that various others were being left out to accommodate the former Ajax man
We don’t quite agree with the person who said it would be “11 v 10 then” when he saw the teams, but plenty of people seem to.

Not one to complain about line-ups but Ziyech starting over Havertz is a crime at this point.

Ziyech dropped a solid Hall of Shame performance against United and is still given another chance, in perhaps the biggest game of the PL season so far…

Ziyech is a very lucky boy to be in the squad let alone the starting lineup. He must have Tommy nudes.

How has Ziyech managed to start over Havertz, CHO and Pulisic?
