Havertz, Werner, and Rudiger get Covid-19 results after positive case in camp

One of the new big fears of the international break is hoping there are no Covid-19 outbreaks within any camps.

Unfortunately for Germany today, there was.

Could Chelsea look to do a swap deal involving Tammy Abraham and Declan Rice? Read my latest here and find out!

Jonas Hofmann tested positive and two of their players then had to quarantine. It put their World Cup qualifying match versus Iceland this evening in real doubt.

There were concerns for domestic clubs as well, especially Chelsea who have three of their players out in the German camp right now.

Antonio Rudiger, Kai Havertz, and Timo Werner are all with the national squad.

Thankfully though, the German team have confirmed that all three have since tested negative for Covid-19, and the game will go ahead this evening despite the outbreak.

This is good news, and meant they managed to contain any outbreak.

The Chelsea lads will now be looking forward to the game tonight and will be hoping to get a goal or two and a good performance under the belt.
