It was a special moment for Cesar Azpilicueta when he stepped up as captain to receive the Champions League trophy for Chelsea after their victory against Manchester City.
After a tireless and valiant performance from the entire team, Azpilicueta was presented his medal by UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin before he kissed the beautiful trophy.
Chelsea’s longest-serving active first-team player was then handed the Champions League silverware and he stormed over to his teammates where amazing celebrations followed.
Azpilicueta played a key role for the Blues on the way to victory, not only did he help steady the ship after a heartbreaking injury for Thiago Silva, Azpilicueta kept the Blues ahead with this fantastic defending.
