The mass Cobham exodus continues this transfer window as Chelsea sell another young rising star to a Premier League side.
After Marc Guehi, a number of others look close to joining him in leaving Chelsea including Lewis Bate and Tino Livramento.
A lot of these youngsters only have short term deals left at Chelsea and are refusing to sign extensions, and instead, opting to go in search for immediate first-team football elsewhere. Can you really blame them when they see the quality ahead of him at Chelsea, a team of European Champions?
The next confirmed departure will be defender Dynel Simeu, who is joining Southampton on a permanent deal, according to Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.
– Chelsea's 19-year-old defender Dynel Simeu has agreed on a move to Southampton.
– The Blues could earn up to £1.5m if the Premier League appearance add-ons are all met
– Sell-on fee included
– Simeu to be part of Hasenhuttl's squad #CFC @goal— Nizaar Kinsella (@NizaarKinsella) July 21, 2021
He has one-year left on his Chelsea deal and the club will receive at least £1.5m for him with all add-ons.
Chelsea’s transfer window is at the moment dominated by departures, but fans will be hoping this is all going into the transfer kitty for arrivals this summer!
