Italian Media: Tammy Abraham asks for more time on Roma decision as number 9 shirt offered

As Chelsea finally confirmed the signing of Romelu Lukaku yesterday, the future of Tammy Abraham has yet to become clear.

He certainly still looks set to leave Chelsea, but there is a bit of a stalemate on where he might go.

According to various Italian media outlets, as conveyed by Football Italia, Abraham has asked for more time to make a decision on joining Roma after his meeting with their chief, Tiago Pinto, in London yesterday.

He appears to be waiting and hoping that Arsenal come in with a good offer, but Chelsea are not keen to sell to a rival.

Roma have upped their wage offer for Abraham and promised him the number 9 shirt as well.

But Abraham’s preference is to stay in England and he is unsure on leaving the Premier League.

Roma will soon turn to alternatives, and Alfredo Pedulla of Sport Italia suggests Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette is one of them, as portrayed in the same report from Football Italia.
