Chelsea in transfer battle with Brighton for 23-year old Ligue 1 striker

As January fast approaches, with that comes more and more transfer rumours and links.

Chelsea are bound to be involved with the transfer talk, they always are in the mix and their name will be mentioned with many players rumoured to be leaving their clubs.

It is anyone’s guess really to predict how busy Chelsea will be in the winter transfer market, but you’d expect most of, if any, big deals to be done in the summer rather than in January.

However, according to a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato, Chelsea are challenging Brighton for the signature of 23-year old Clermont Foot striker, Mohamed Bayo.

The report claims that Chelsea are competing with Brighton to sign the Ligue 1 forward.

Bayo is a newly capped Guinea international and he has scored 5 goals and got 2 assists in 9 appearances in France so far this season.

He’s certainly not what you would call a household name and this one is a bit of strange link for Chelsea.
