Yesterday there was a story that dropped that had tongues wagging, especially amongst Chelsea fans.
A reliable source reported that Thomas Tuchel did not request the signing of Saul Niguez on loan from Atletico Madrid in January, instead, Chelsea signed him as a favour to his agent and he was never in their ‘sporting plans’.

According to @carrusel, Thomas Tuchel did not request the signing of Saúl ÑÃguez, Chelsea did not include him in their sporting plans, and his arrival was merely a favor for the player’s agents.

Whilst this story sounded strange initially, you can bet your bottom dollar that this kind of stuff happens all the time.
It was clear that Tuchel felt he needed an extra centre midfielder, but with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek at the club, Billy Gilmour as well at the time, and Conor Gallagher, it was always strange that we didn’t look to one of them to fill the void.
Of course, Loftus-Cheek has now become a mainstay and ironically Saul is not getting a look in, but the agent connections are clear.
Apparently Saul’s agent already has three Chelsea players, Loftus-Cheek being one, and Gilmour and Ben Chilwell being the other two, on his books.

So he is clearly used to working with Chelsea recently, and this story could well be feasible.
