Andy Robertson will miss Chelsea-Liverpool clash thanks to postponement

Liverpool’s Boxing Day game against Leeds has been postponed, meaning that the Reds have really had a nice little December.

They have avoided having too much of a pileup later in the year by playing all their games so far, and now get a vital little rest over Christmas.

Jurgen Klopp will get the break he’s always wanted it seems.

There is one negative for them – Andy Robertson was sent off against Tottenham at the weekend, and the third game of his 3 match ban will now be the Reds’ game against Chelsea in January.

The left back is a key player for them, and this is a key fixture, so it’s a potentially a major factor in this game and the whole title race.

On the other hand, his team will be going into that game significantly more rested that Thomas Tuchel’s Blues – these things do tend to even out, don’t they?
