Chelsea are due to be kicking off against Everton in just over 24 hours time, but we’ve got serious doubts that the game will go ahead.
Covid cases were at an all time high in the Premier League in the most recent round of testing, and games are being called off left, right and centre at the moment.
The latest was Watford’s game against Burnley, which was supposed to happen this evening, and has just been postponed.
After that news broke, there was a general feeling on Chelsea Twitter that our game against the Toffees could be our last for a while, if it happens at all.
Chelsea ain’t playing tomorrow are they…..

Bet Professor Jonathan Claude Van Tam would liken this current outbreak to being Chelsea playing away to Bournemouth and Higuain is the only fit striker available and Kante has snapped his Achilles in the warmup.

Chelsea have been fortunate so far with Covid. It's testament to the measures put in place by the club.
But feels inevitable there will be cases within the squad and staff at some point. And that is the case across the Premier League.

Chelsea have actually avoided the worst of the recent spate of cases, with only Mateo Kovacic picking up a positive result. Everton are also relatively clear as far as we know, so the game should be able to go ahead – unless there is a league-wide ruling within the next 24 hours.
