Chelsea in pole position to sign defender with move ‘perhaps imminent’

There have been a couple of stories now linking Chelsea with signing a new defender.

Of course we are always going to see us linked with new defenders due to our own current situation. We have Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Thiago Silva in the final year of their contracts and could become free agents in the summer.

It would be amazing if you guys subscribed for my project over at Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, where we are putting out so much Chelsea content including DAILY Newsletters, exclusive news, breaking news, Podcasts, interviews, inside information, and bringing in some massive guests!

So Chelsea will naturally be looking at potential backup plans should one or more of them leave.

The latest name to be linked is 24-year old Torino defender, Gleison Bremer.

Sport Witness have a report citing information from TuttoMercatoWeb today saying that Chelsea are now in pole position to sign the Brazilian and a move looks ‘perhaps imminent’ now citing England as the next destination for him.

Bremer is yet to be capped at any level by Brazil but he has also been linked recently with big clubs such as Liverpool, suggesting he is a top talent.
