Chelsea move for 16 year old wonderkid already playing first team minutes

Chelsea pulled off a great coup when they signed a teenage Andreas Christensen from Denmark, and they now look keen to repeat the trick.

According to Goal.com, the Blues are one of the teams watching Roony Bardghji, the 16 year old wonderkid who has just broken into the FC Copenhagen first team.

As always when a precociously young player makes it into a first team, it’s attracting attention from all the major teams – at least according to the rumours.

Apparently Chelsea have had scouts watching him, as have Barcelona, Bayern and Ajax. Born in Kuwait to Syrian parents, the youngster has already played in Sweden for the Malmo youth teams, before being snapped up by Copenhagen. That’s an impressive resume for someone so young.

Chelsea were apparently keen on him before he made the trip from Sweden to Denmark, so we would imagine his progress to the first team will only interest them further.
