Chelsea open to offers for two midfielders in January as they may be forced to dip into the market themselves

Chelsea have pretty much been forced to look into the January transfer market by injuries and fatigue.

With Reece James now going down with a suspected hamstring tear and could be out for months, Chelsea might now need to look at signing at least one wide player this window. It was pretty clear with Ben Chilwell’s injury, but they might now need to look at a wide player such as Sergino dest from Barcelona, who they’ve been linked with and can play on both the right and the left.

But with other current situations with contracts at the back and players minds elsewhere, might Chelsea also look to bring in a centre back this window? There is also the chance of a new midfielder for extra cover baring in mind the constant injuries to N’Golo Kante and fatigue of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.

Goal reports that any of the both is possible, and they also say that Chelsea will consider offers for both Ross Barkley and Lewis Baker in January, and the former could leave on a permanent deal.
