It’s time to reflect on the Champions League group stages as that part of the competition was concluded last night.
Chelsea have had some very good results and performances, but then some not so great either like last night’s 3-3 draw at Zenit.

The Blues though, have faired reasonably well in Who Scored’s team of the UCL, coming in joint 4th place based on overall stats from the group stages looking at performances and results.
They’re joint with Liverpool, and only came behind Real Madrid, Ajax, and Bayern Munich, as seen here…

Why putting unnecessary pressures on Chelsea? For the fact that they failed to top their group don’t mean they didn’t fare well, and being unseeded doesn’t mean they can go far in the competition. If any team wants to win the competition must be ready to play any team that comes their way. Bayern Munich almost swept everyone in the group stages but it was a lackluster PSG that stop them on their track in the 1/4 finals. Chelsea at the moment is struggling with spate of injuries, which has resulted in a little dip inform.
