We know all about Chelsea’s horrific injury and Covid problems, which have crippled the team for weeks.
Like Chelsea, Liverpool have been able to fulfil all their fixtures in the last few of weeks, but without losing half their team to quarantine.
Now that may be changing however, and the playing field has levelled somewhat with the news today from Jurgen Klopp’s press conference that three Reds have tested positive for Covid this week.
Virgil Van Dijk, Thiago and Curtis Jones have all recently returned to the team after infection, so they are ruled out as candidates.
As Klopps says, it all depends on the PCR tests that the players have to take, and beyond that we will have to wait until we see the teamsheet before we really know who will be out.
Thiago and Takumi Minamino will both miss the trip to Chelsea thanks to non-Covid injury issues.
