Maurizio Sarri’s time at Chelsea was brief in the end – just one season, and it was already two and a half years ago.
But there are still plenty of players at the club who he knows well, and a couple who he is still interested in signing for Lazio, his new team where he has just extended his contract.
He’s consistently linked with Kepa Arrizabalaga, but nothing has ever really progressed on that front.
Now, according to InsideFutbol his targets have switched to two outfielders – Emerson Palmieri and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Hudson-Odoi will surely eventually get frustrated with his playing time at Chelsea and want to leave. We just think he will probably aim higher than Lazio, and will likely have better offers than mid table Serie A.
Emerson is doing well on loan at Lyon, and we can see them making a solid offer to buy him permanently. But if they don’t a move to link up with Sarri might just make sense.
