Real Madrid’s obsession with getting rid of Eden Hazard means Chelsea will always be mentioned

Real Madrid really want to get rid of Eden Hazard.

In sweet revenge for the way they got Thibaut Courtois off us on the cheap, Chelsea sold an ageing Hazard to the Spanish giants for a mega fee, and he’s never really looked like being worth it.

Once they’d given up on him ever being good – it doesn’t take long at the Bernabeu -  their preoccupation has been selling him. How much can they can get for him, and how quickly can get they him off the wage bill.

Given Chelsea never really wanted to sell him in the first place, they’ve often been mentioned as a possible destination for Hazard. Just look at Super Deporte today, where they’re rambling on about Roman Abramovich’s intentions, as though anyone apart from a select group of about 3 or 4 people have any idea about that.

We don’t believe a word of it, but for as long as Madrid are stuck with their Hazard problem, our name is going to get dragged into it.
