Thomas Tuchel has just taken his press conference ahead of the game against Leeds tomorrow, and as is always the case he started with an injury update.
The injury situation has been dire at Chelsea in recent weeks, and things aren’t getting much better. The boss confirmed that Trevoh Chalobah and Mateo Kovacic are out, along with N’Golo Kante and long term absentee Ben Chilwell.
Thomas Tuchel on injuries:
“Chalobah is still out, Kovacic is obviously out, N'Golo Kante out for tomorrow and Ben Chilwell too. Jorginho did the last two training sessions and wil do what he did the last game, play through pain.â€

The good news (sort of) is that Jorginho will play – although “through pain” as Tuchel puts it.
We imagine he will line up alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the middle of the pitch. RLC missed the midweek game thanks to a warmup injury, but he wasn’t mentioned today so we can only assume he’s ready.
The grind is only beginning, but if we can get these guys back one at a time, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s get three points closer tomorrow.
