Brentford is not a long way to go for Chelsea fans – it’s about as close as you can get from an away game, apart from Fulham. But at this time of year, with the current restrictions, it’s still tough to make room for any away game.
That’s why it was so impressive to see the away end at the Brentford Community Stadium not only packed, but absolutely rocking last night.
After the game, Marcos Alonso pointed to the “amazing atmosphere” as a big factor in helping Chelsea win, and we don’t think he was talking about the home fans.
