Chelsea captain ‘wants two-year extension’ and is ‘likely to leave’

The Chelsea contractual situations at the club are far from ideal and the more news that comes out, looks less positive for Chelsea as the days go on.

All four of Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, and Antonio Rudiger are able to agree pre-contracts with new clubs now since January the 1st, and it appears that Rudiger at least, is already taking advance of that chance, according to Sky Sports.

And the news doesn’t get much better when it comes to the club captain, Cesar Azpilicueta. According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s staff, Azpilicueta is ‘likely to leave’ Chelsea at the end of the season as a free agent, due to interest turning his head and a disagreement on length of contract that is being offered to him by Chelsea right now.

It’s not really what Chelsea need right now with all the noise surrounding Romelu Lukaku and that situation as well.
