Chelsea’s search for a left back has been pretty low paced – we’re heading towards two months since Ben Chilwell was hurt, and no options for a January signing appear to be close.
The players we’ve been linked with have grown more and more unlikely, and the fresh new name over the weekend was Layvin Kurzawa.
The PSG left back rarely plays in Paris, and it’s easy to see him wanting to switch to the Premier League where he can link up with his old manager Thomas Tuchel.
Paris has not received any offer for Layvin Kurzawa. Discussions exist between Chelsea and #PSG officials but Tuchel is reportedly not in favor of bringing in the left-back. Napoli is still interested for a loan.

Marc Mechenoua, Goal.com’s France correspondent, has confirmed that “discussions exist” between the clubs, but doesn’t go much further than that. He also says that Tuchel isn’t fan.
Napoli are also interested in the player, but just like Chelsea, they are only keen on a loan deal rather than a permanent transfer.
Whatever we end up doing, we need to get doing it fast.
