Mateo Kovacic was in great form before an injury wiped out a chunk of his season, and he seems to have picked up where he left off now he’s back.
Today he had a couple of shaky moments early on but quickly took over the game for long periods alongside N’Golo Kante. He score a brilliant goal in the first half, and the second period saw him drop this unreal bit of ball protection and skill, after plucking the ball from the air with amazing grace.
It was a small snippet for 70 really good minutes.
