MD: Chelsea target could have contract terminated after refusing to leave on deadline day

The transfer window officially closed at 11pm last night, and it was a super quiet one for Chelsea.

Despite a couple of 18-year olds being signed for the academy, and with one even being loaned back, there was no first team arrivals at Chelsea despite the long-term injury to Ben Chilwell.

Chelsea fans weren’t really expecting much on deadline day at all to be honest, but the media did their best in keeping the Ousmane Dembele story alive until the final hours.

He ended up staying at Barcelona, much to the anger of the club, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Club sources have told them that a meeting is scheduled for today to speak about Dembele’s future, and a contract termination now has not been ruled out.

This is due to his behaviour’ and refusing to agree a move away during January. They name Chelsea as one of the options he could have gone to.
